Troy’s Journey.
2016 - First “Camera”
Towards the end of a 6-year career with the US Army Aviation, Troy began working with the UAS/Drone division. He would later buy his own drone (DJI Mavic) that, unbeknownst to him, would spark an insatiable love of cameras.
2018 - Love Interests
Boy Meets Girl. This girl happened to be a model/actress in the city. When she needed help with some photos for a job submission, Troy came rushing to her aid, hand-holding the only camera he had. His drone… (Flash-Forward: That girl would later become his wife)
2018 - First Dollar
Armed with a real camera now (Fuji XT-30), Troy decides to sneak into a fashion show featuring our girl from above. At 6’6” tall, there was no blending in for Troy at what turned out to be an All-Woman’s Luncheon. Nevertheless, He pressed on and was able to sell the video he made back to the Producer for $100.
2019 - Kairos Film Co.
That spark from 2016 is now an inferno that takes shape as Kairos Film Co. Troy launched a Film Production company designed to help businesses generate quality and consistent content to promote their brands and, more importantly, connect with their audiences on a human level.
2020 - Side-Hustle No More
Kairos Film Co starts to gain some traction, and Troy quits his Full-Time job as an in-house creator. He’ll tell you it was an easy choice, but the truth is, he was shaking when he put in his two-week notice.
2021 - YouTube… Kind of
Troy publishes his first YouTube video! A total of 12 people (including himself) viewed that video and it now lives in a “private” folder on his channel.
2023 - Here we are!
The last few years have been spent practicing and learning everything he can about the craft and sharing that knowledge with the incredible community of creatives that follow his channel today! A camera changed his life, and he couldn't be more excited about where it will take him next.
